The Kitzsteinhorn glacier , Austria's first glacier resort, has 41 km of slopes and guaranteed snow from October to May . You can ski with spectacular views above the cloud, with the slopes altitude between 1,976m to 3,029 - at some of the highest slopes in Salzburgerland. The Kaprun-Kitzsteinhorn 3K-K-connection gondola linking the Maiskogel and the Kitzsteinhorn with direct access to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier from the village of Kaprun.
The Schmittenhöhe Resort rises from the lakeside village of Zell am See. The summit slopes are easily reached from the gondolas that depart from the village center and from Shüttdorf. The resort has 77 km of pistes - 5 runs that lead directly down into the valley.
In addition, the Ski Circus at Saalbach/Hinterglemm and the Höchkonig Ski resort at Maria Alm can be reached within 30 minutes by car.
