Property no. 3468970
Holiday home for max. 10 persons
Manacor, Majorca, (Heartland of Majorca), Spain
The euphonious Ca Carrotja Vella alludes with its name to its character as a former farmhouse on an impressive, huge 180,000 m² estate. The country house warmly welcomes its visitors and guests, nestled in the incomparably beautiful landscape of the east of the island, simply perfect for hiking. Before we explore the surroundings, we will take you on a short discovery tour of the fairytale house inside and out. The garden with its old olive and carob trees, impressive lawns, small paths and natural stone walls has an absolutely natural feel and blends seamlessly into the seemingly endless nature far and wide. It could hardly offer more privacy. You will definitely feel safe when you relax by the snake-shaped, mosaic-lined pool. You can take a refreshing dip here completely unnoticed, relax on one of the comfortable sun loungers or finally indulge in a good book in a secret spot in the shade under the awning. If you feel peckish, simply light the barbecue right next to the covered outdoor terrace, where there are two large enough dining areas with trendy polyrattan furniture - the perfect place to eat together at any time of day.
This is a Fincallorca holiday home.
The stately cobblestone walls and the windmill tower tell a story of over 100 years of history. It is all the more impressive that the owner has managed to preserve and even enhance the historical aspect of the property with exquisite furnishings in a rustic-modern style. What would that be without a large living-dining area including a cosy fireplace, which ensures maximum comfort? Thanks to the many doors to the terrace, the interior is not only particularly bright and inviting, but also makes it easy to move between the outdoor and indoor areas. This is also particularly practical for self-catering, as the beautiful open-plan kitchen with long table leads directly onto the terrace. Brick cabinets with wooden doors, blue and white ceramic tiles on the walls and terracotta-coloured tiles on the floor add a touch of tradition to this extremely modern kitchen. Antique furniture combined with modern art, exposed cobblestones and wooden roof beams add to the intimate and secure feel of the house when the whole family is accommodated. This also applies to the five spacious bedrooms, which are spread over two floors, while the round tower room exudes a very special atmosphere. The four individually designed bathrooms are a welcome addition to the high level of comfort that is reflected throughout the house without being overbearing. With charm and a sense of simplicity, Sa Carrotja Vella offers an incredibly warm atmosphere where you can simply feel comfortable and at ease. With this feeling of security, you can set off freely on your journey of discovery.
The locals of Porto Cristo are proud of their small town, whose name dates back to the 13th century. And so it should be, as the charming holiday resort has retained its unique charm as a small fishing and harbour town. A fleet of fishing vessels is further proof of the resort's past, while the modern marina reflects its class. Today, first-class restaurants line the promenade overlooking the beach, which merges seamlessly into the harbour. Even more secluded beaches lie tantalisingly on the east coast, the Calas de Mallorca. Thanks to its central location close to the motorway, which is partially audible, you can reach your destination quickly and easily. Don't miss the natural wonder of the underground caves, the Coves de Drac. Lively towns like Manacor, beautiful beaches with turquoise-coloured water, rolling green hills and lots of nature - it is the diversity that makes Mallorca the island it is. You can look forward to all this and a relaxing time with friends and family during your stay at Sa Corrotja Vella.
The historic villa estate Sa Carrotja Vella has an impressively large property and garden in a wonderful rural setting. It is also located just outside the popular coastal town of Porto Cristo. Stroll along the jetty, enter a friendly restaurant with a view of the harbour or enjoy the lively weekly market while you do your shopping. In addition to the well-tended sandy beach, there are other natural bays in the immediate vicinity, some of which are completely unspoilt.
