    “Obwohl WC und Bad ein wenig klein ausfallen gebe ich gern die 5 Häuser. Alles ist intakt und gepflegt. Wir haben dieses Haus zu zweit bewohnt und uns darin sehr wohl gefühlt. Die mit Schiebetüren verglaste Veranda, mit dem unverbauten Ausblick auf den Ärmelkanal und der Hafeneinfahrt von Carteret, ist natürlich der Clou des Hauses. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man sollte allerdings wenigstens ein paar Worte Französisch können.

    Die wunderschöne Lage des Hauses im Ortsteil Barneville-Plage hat aber zur Folge, dass Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etwas weiter entfernt liegen. Als einziges Geschäft ist der Bäcker in ca.10 Min. zu Fuß zu erreichen. Mit den von uns gemieteten Fahrrädern war der morgendliche Weg zum Bäcker allerdings wesentlich schneller erledigt. Für andere Einkäufe fährt man in das knapp 3 km entfernte Barneville, wo man alles Notwendige bekommt.

    Restaurants verschiedener Güte findet man eher in Carteret. Zum Campingplatz "Les Vikings" gehört auch ein Restaurant (ca. 2,5 km), von dem wir zwar nicht viel erwartet hatten, dann aber doch positiv überrascht wurden. In besonders guter Erinnerung haben wir das Restaurant "Le Clos Rubier" in Saint-Jean-de-la-Rivière, ca 4 km.”

    “Unsere Ferienwohnung hatte einen Wintergarten, von dem aus man einen traumhaften Blick auf das Meer mit weißem, herrlichen Sandstrand hatte. Die Wohnung war mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Die Lage war sehr ruhig und schön. Man kann wunderbare, schöne Spaziergänge und Wanderungen direkt vor Ort unternehmen. Der Wanderweg führte direkt an unserem Appartement vorbei. Da wir in der Vorsaison da waren, war es herrlich ruhig und leer.
    Ein Supermarkt, der ein riesiges Angebot hatte, ist ca. 2 km von der Wohnung entfernt. So das man sich bestens selbst versorgen konnte.”
