House in Murau with Private Parking and Open View

The detached wooden chalet was built in 2013 and is surrounded by open land with a beautiful view of the mountain landscape.

The chalet for nine people provides all the necessary comfort and has 100m² of living space. It is spacious, light and atmospherically decorated. The ground floor has a light and modern living room with a gas stove for cosy winter evenings and an open kitchen with a corner bench and a wooden dining table. The chalet also has an entrance area with wardrobes on the ground floor, along with a bathroom. The first floor has four bedrooms, three of which have a double bed, while the fourth has a kind of loft bed, consisting of a double bed below and a single bed above. This floor also has a bathroom.

The living room provides direct access to the big terrace with seating, facing south-west. The big garden is to the south, so you can enjoy the sunshine to the full there. The smaller terrace to the east is accessible from the kitchen. You can enjoy an open view of the mountains. Two private parking spaces are provided.

The two bathrooms are special highlights. The ground-floor bathroom has a WC and a rainforest showerhead and massage jets, while the bathroom on the first floor has a rainforest showerhead and massage jets, along with a whirlpool bath and an infrared sauna for two people. So you can relax after sports activities and end your day with a wellness programme. The wooden chalet also provides wireless Internet access. There is a ski boot dryer, as well as a ski depot, for storing your skis. When you collect the keys you are given a Murau guest card, which entitles you to a 10% price reduction on your ski pass and for nearby attractions, such as various museums.

The chalet is near the pistes of the fantastic Kreischberg ski resort (about 6km away). The historical town of Murau, the outdoor pool and the golf course are about 3km away. The central location makes it an ideal holiday destination both in summer and in winter. Murau is a little medieval town, which invites you to go on cultural strolls or on leisurely shopping trips. It also has a waterfall on the Schlattingbach stream. The pure drinking water of this stream is used for brewing beer. Other attractions include the unusual mouth of the Rante stream into the Mur river, against the flow of the river, as well as the renaissance castle, five churches, the town walls and the narrow-gauged Murtal railway with a steam train. The area offers a range of activities at any time of year. Kreischberg has 40km of pistes for all ability levels. Snowboarding enthusiasts can test their abilities in the boarder park. Of course you can also enjoy sledging, ice skating etc. for a perfect winter holiday. The Frauenalpe ski resort is 8km away and is a smaller resort with red and black pistes. Ski passes are well-priced and the resort is quieter. The villages around the Kreischberg and Frauenalpe winter sports mountains invite you to stroll and relax. Children and adults alike can enjoy horse-drawn sled rides, curling, ice skating, snow shoe hiking, cross-country skiing, ski touring, night sledging on Kreischberg. In summer you can go swimming, play tennis, go horse riding or go fishing in the Mur. Owing to the beautiful nature, it is worth going on hikes, walks and mountain bike tours. The 18-hole/par 72 golf course opened in 2006 is a landmark of the region. If you would like to visit larger towns, then you can get to Graz, Linz and Salzburg within two hours. The wine route in southern Styria is known for its lovely white grape vines. It is worth a visit especially during the wine festivals in the autumn.

    “Super Ausstattung, sogar Spülmaschine, Mikrowelle und alle Küchengeräte waren vorhanden. Die Lage ist ein wenig Abseits, jedoch wenn man unter sich sein möchte perfekt. Sauber war es ebenfalls!”

    “Das Haus ist toll ausgestattet. Das einzige Manko ist, dass es noch ein Neubaugebiet ist und die Außenanlage noch nicht richtig angelegt ist. Ansonsten ein sehr schönes und helles Haus.”
