    “In 500m ist ein Bar-Restaurant mit gutem Essen fußläufig erreichbar. Es gibt auch ein Restaurant direkt neben dem Domizil, da waren wir aber nicht. Ein Supermarkt mit drei guten Gaststätten ist über einen Tunnel bis 18:00 mit ca. 800m zu Fuß erreichbar, danach schließt der Tunnel aber und man muss einen Umweg nehmen, für den man ein Auto braucht.

    Insgesamt sollte man hier ohnehin ein Auto haben, da man ansonsten kaum etwas erreichen würde.

    Mit Auto sind es nur 15 Minuten bis zum Hafen von Funchal. Madeira ist ohnehin recht klein, so dass kein Ort von hier weiter als 90 Minuten entfernt ist. Man sollte aber gut mit Anfahren am Berg, engen Wegen und Gangschaltung umgehen können. Ein kleines Auto ist von Vorteil, sonst findet man keine Parkplätze und es wird bei Gegenverkehr sehr eng.”
